1. I spent the whole night with my friends from work at Makati — again. This is becoming a habit. Hey, I needed friends last night, and they didn’t disappoint me. Thank you for all the laughs.
2. There’s a 24-hour grocery store near the place where I live. It’s really convenient for me because I work at night and I don’t want to wait until morning for most groceries to open. Anyway, today, I decided to do my [mid]weekly grocery shopping before going home. I have no idea how it happened but a cat managed to get inside without any staff noticing it. The cat looked exactly like my favorite cat who died in 2007. The cat followed me around and he kept on rubbing his body on my legs. I think the cat also knew that I needed someone to console me today, and I was very grateful for the unexpected comfort that he gave me.
3. 48 hours left and I’ll be on my way to the beach. Hang in there, Hannah!
Starting tomorrow, I will be on training at work for 6-7 weeks. I was really surprised when I was chosen to undergo training (for more responsibility lol), because from what I have observed, they choose the people with good stats. I know I should be happy about this, but at the back of my mind, I wish I could back out… More responsibilities = more stress = less lazy time. Haha. Kidding aside, it’s March and this is the month for final exams at school… I can’t even remember the last time that I slept for more than five hours.
I wanted to make today’s breakfast special, even though there are no occasions or birthdays in our family. I bought spaghetti + ingredients and sauce last night, and I cooked it before they woke up. When my parents and my brother woke up, they were excited for it, especially Mama. She was happy that she’s not going to cook for breakfast today. However, being the clumsy person that I am, I accidentally bumped the plate where the cooked spaghetti was off the table. I think more than half of the spaghetti spilled onto the floor. I think everybody was devastated because we were looking forward to eating a ‘special’ breakfast together, but I ruined it. We have to share what’s left and get a small serving each. Another option is to choose one or two persons who would not eat spaghetti. Mama went to the kitchen to prepare sinangag, fried eggs, and hotdogs. Papa and Mama ended up eating the usual breakfast because they gave the remaining spaghetti to me and my brother.
Thank you Mama. It might be a small gesture for you but your thoughtfulness made me smile today :)
THAT MOMENT WHEN YOU WROTE A LONG POST THAT YOU HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE WHOLE DAY, ONLY TO LOSE IT IN ONE CLICK BECAUSE YOU ACCIDENTALLY PRESS THE DELETE BUTTON
THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WELL-THOUGHT POST… OH WELL.
I want a family man for a husband. He’s someone who gets married not just for the sake of getting married, settling down, and being with the lady he loves. He gets married because he wants to start a family. He doesn’t just want to be a husband — he wants to be a father, too.
*thinking out loud*
My shift at work is from 8:45 PM to 12:45 AM. 8:45 PM is the “earliest” shift so whenever I come it at work, only 1/4 of the total number of employees would be there (the rest would come in later). While I was reading emails, I heard the sound of fireworks and immediately looked out of the window (my work desk is beside a window, yay). I only saw reflections of the fireworks from the building across the street, but it was wonderful. I could also hear Christmas music being played loudly. I guess there was an event somewhere in Ayala Avenue last night. When I sat on my chair again, I noticed that my coworkers were also trying to watch the fireworks from the reflections. Haha. It was only last night that I actually felt the “Christmas-y” feeling during this time of the year.
On the other hand: classes for this year officially ended yesterday. No classes for three weeks. I can sleep properly for three weeks :D
